Niamh, who starts her GCSEs this September, is currently fundraising for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: a month-long expedition to Kenya in July 2026 with charity Camps International.
The trip will involve environmental work, community support projects, and will culminate in a five-day trek to the summit of Mount Kenya. What an adventure!
Jessica and Niamh have previously raised funds for a village charity in Uganda, but this time Niamh is determined to offer hands-on support and experience the impact of her efforts first-hand.
Niamh’s football skills may even be tested by the local teams — a fun way to connect with the community and keep her skills sharp while creating memories that will last a lifetime.
She’s already made a strong start to her fundraising: hosting a Paint & Prosecco evening(see the giraffe above!), making and selling her own earrings, washing cars, and running an information night on women’s health and nutrition. With more events planned — including a chocolate tombola at her football club — she’s determined to reach her goal.
Niamh needs to raise £5,500 for the trip. Last year’s top fundraiser brought in over £10,000,and in true competitive spirit (just like her mum!), she’s aiming to beat it. Every penny goes directly to Camps International to support their incredible work.
If you’d like to help support Niamh’s journey and this fantastic cause, please donate via her GoFundMe:

This is truly a life-changing trip — and Niamh can’t wait for it to begin!
